WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) today announced his guest for the State of the Union on March 7, 2024, will be Benjamin Clapper, Executive Director of the Louisiana Right to Life.
“Ben has committed his life to speaking for those who cannot speak for themselves,” said Dr. Cassidy. “Protecting an unborn child’s right to life is one of our most sacred obligations. I’m proud to stand shoulder to shoulder with Ben at the State of the Union steadfast in our commitment to the sanctity of life.”
“I am honored that Senator Cassidy has invited me, on behalf of the pro-life citizens of Louisiana, to join him for the State of the Union. It promises to be a historic evening as it will be the first State of the Union presided over by a Louisiana Speaker of the House. I am grateful to work with Senator Cassidy to continue to protect life and help moms, even as we face opposition from a pro-abortion White House,” said Mr. Clapper.
Senator Cassidy received an A+ rating on Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America’s 2023 National Pro-Life Scorecard. The rating recognizes his work in Congress to protect the lives of innocent unborn children.
