WASHINGTON—Today, the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) released the just over $1.2 billion that was secured by US Senator Bill Cassidy (R-LA) and the Louisiana delegation in the FY2017 Further Continuing and Security Assistance Appropriations Act.
“Securing this relief funding, to get folks back in their homes, is another victory in our mission to provide the people of Louisiana the resources they need to rebuild, recover and prosper,” Said Dr. Cassidy. “The entire Louisiana Congressional delegation worked hard to get this done.”
These new funds bring the total CDBG-DR allocation for Louisiana to almost $1.66 billion for housing recovery efforts and an additional $230 million for other infrastructure recovery projects.
