WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) today stood with his Republican colleagues against Senate Democrats’ decision to pull a political stunt by bringing up a border bill that not only has already failed to pass the Senate, but Speaker Mike Johnson has also said that the House will not consider.
“We’ve got to control the border, but we need a bill that can pass. Democrats are bringing up a bill for another vote that failed to pass once and will fail again. This is a total political stunt that does nothing to change the reality at the border,” said Dr. Cassidy. “Democrats own the border crisis.”
