BATON ROUGE—U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) joined U.S. Senator John Cornyn (R-TX) yesterday in the Rio Grande Valley to get an up close look at border security, trade and economic development issues crucial to our nation.
The Senators toured the border by helicopter and boat. They also toured the Pharr-Reynosa International Bridge and visited the McAllen Border Patrol Station to receive a comprehensive briefing on law enforcement’s multi-layered approach to securing the border, improving public safety, and increasing the flow of legitimate trade and travel.
