Cassidy Delivers: Senator Releases List of 2022 Legislative Accomplishments

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) today released a list of his top accomplishments in 2022 from the passage of bills to help veterans transition to civilian life and the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act to give pregnant mothers reasonable accommodations in the workplace, to championing school choice in the Senate.

“Louisianans sent me to Washington to deliver real solutions,” said Dr. Cassidy. “We had major wins for Louisiana this year, and I look forward to continuing that success in 2023.”

Throughout 2022, Louisiana received more than $1.6 billion from the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA), including $150 million to build a new Calcasieu River Bridge in Lake Charles. The state is expected to receive billions more in IIJA funding over the next four years.

Additionally, a new study found that Cassidy’s No Surprises Law saves approximately 9 million Americans from receiving surprise medical bills since it was implemented in January 2022
