WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) issued the following statement on Leader Mitch McConnell’s decision to retire as minority leader in November.
“Mitch McConnell fought for a safer America. Because of him, we have a conservative Supreme Court for years to come. He led the fight for lower taxes and a strong military. With characteristic concern for the Senate, he picked his time to leave leadership,” said Dr. Cassidy.
