“President Trump is right: Congress must pass legislation to end surprise medical bills. The solution to this problem is already before us. Last year, Sens. Hassan, Bennet and I introduced legislation to protect patients from surprise bills. Since then, I have worked with Chairman Alexander to come to a legislative agreement that is supported by a robust bipartisan, bicameral coalition. Congress should swiftly pass this bill to protect Americans from outrageous surprise medical bills,”
