BATON ROUGE – U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) met today with Nathan Wall, pastor at Victory in Christ Church in Holden, Louisiana, and toured his business, Wall’s Alligator Farm in Springfield. They also discussed the importance of Louisianans receiving the vaccine. Pastor Wall initially declined to receive the vaccine. However, after ministering to people dying from Covid-19, he changed his mind and began encouraging others to consider getting vaccinated.
“I personally was not going to get vaccinated. But as a pastor, I went to go visit three people. One passed away right before I got there. The other one passed away on Monday, another one on Thursday. And while I was there, they brought me over to pray with this family that’s already lost a grandmother, their aunt, their mom and their dad, both within a week. And as I was praying with this lady, she literally passed in my arms.
Senator Cassidy echoed Pastor Wall’s message.
“Too many of our friends and neighbors are unnecessarily dying from Covid-19,” said Dr. Cassidy. “We need leaders to stand up and encourage others to get vaccinated. I’m grateful that Pastor Wall is choosing to lead.”
