WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA), member of the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee, issued the following statement on reports the Biden administration is deliberately postponing LNG export permitting:
“This is war on our allies. They depend upon us for their energy and economic security. For apparently political purposes, the Biden administration is deliberately postponing permitting. Putin must have designed this strategy,” said Dr. Cassidy.
Earlier this month, Cassidy questioned Department of Energy Deputy Secretary David Turk on these rumors and emphasized the energy, economic, environmental, and national security importance of U.S. LNG exports.
