WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) issued the following statement ahead of President Joe Biden’s Executive Order on immigration.
“There has been nearly 10 million illegal crossings in just over three years under Biden,” said Dr. Cassidy. “In the first three years of Trump, that number was 1.57 million illegal crossings. In the first three years of Obama, that number was 1.36 million illegal crossings. Why didn’t Biden do this 10 million migrants ago?”
According to press reports, the Executive Order would halt certain asylum claims at the southern border once illegal crossings hit 2,500 a day.
