WASHINGTON—U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA), released the following statement today after meeting with William Barr, President Trump’s nominee for attorney general.
“The Senate previously confirmed William Barr unanimously three times, approving him to serve our country as assistant attorney general, deputy attorney general, and then attorney general. He is committed to upholding the rule of lawand being just to all Americans, and he clearly has the experienceneeded to get the Department of Justice back on the right track. I thank him for meeting with me and I look forward to voting to confirm him soon.”
