WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA), a member of the Senate Veterans’ Affairs Committee, today met with Rear Admiral Ronny Jackson, M.D., who was nominated by President Trump to serve as secretary of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).
“I appreciate Dr. Jackson meeting with me,” said Dr. Cassidy. “His perspective is that the VA should put veterans first and provide the best care possible. We had a good conversation about this and other issues. I look forward to his hearing next week and learning even more about his vision for leading the department.”
