Tomorrow, December 8, U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) will visit the Sasol petrochemical manufacturing complex in Westlake, Louisiana, to discuss jobs and manufacturing. Representatives of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the Southwest Louisiana Economic Development Alliance will also attend.
According to Sasol, its ethane cracker and derivatives project “will roughly triple the company’s chemical production capacity in the U.S.” and “create more than 500 full-time, high-paying manufacturing jobs, more than 5,000 construction jobs at peak and thousands of indirect jobs in Louisiana and across the U.S.”
Cassidy will hold on-camera media availability following his closed-press tour of the facility. Members of the media wishing to attend the availability must RSVP to ty_bofferding@cassidy.senate.gov.
